Old tissue boxes, especially those with plastic around the openings, can be used for:

Scraps of yarn, thread, fabric - just push the scrap into the hole.  If the box is tipped over, the supplies inside cannot fall out. When the box is filled, either toss it out, or use the innards to stuff padded projects.

Organizer boxes (click here for cutting, assembly diagram) - these are great for everything from small supplies, keeping all project items in one place, sorting bins, and more.

Mini-trash boxes - anything you push into these boxes will stay there until you are ready to throw it out, if the plastic is still around the opening.

Around our household, we toss very little away; we are pack-rats of the worst kind. We have devised many uses for old tissue boxes, and new ones will always appear.

THE FRONT PORCH - Hints and Tips
Hints and tips come from all over -

All will have a reference to their origin. We owe it, in today’s fast-paced throw-away world, to give credit where it’s due, not take-it-and-run without a thought of the work behind it and who did that work.
